Porter is feeling much better today. He was so excited to see me this morning when I woke up. He greeted me with a wagging butt (his tail is too short and curly to wag) and followed me to the couch and gave me kisses. He even wanted to play with his newest toy! He's resting comfortably and having a good day. My poor baby's still trying to figure out how to maneuver that e-collar. It's comical at times, and others...I just feel bad for him!
I'm feeling better too. I got some sleep and have been taking Advil Cold and Sinus. It's helping. I think the sleep helped most though!
So, nothing else to report, just trying to get my boy back to his old self.

Porter's surgery and time
Why does it seem like time goes by so fast when we're alseep? Why does it go by so slow when we're at work or when we're tired?
Today my Bulldog Porter was neutered and had Entropion surgery on his eye. His eyelid rolled in and his hair was rubbing on his cornia, very painful. Bazzle, our Schnauzer and Porter's big brother, was looking all over the house for Porter when I came home from taking Port to the vet. Porter did really well and came home at 4:30 this afternoon. My poor baby is out of it. He's so drugged and resting peacefully. We tried to put the e-collar on him, but he's not having it. He's basically hyper ventilating with the thing on. I feel so bad. When he has it on, he stands in one spot and since he's still out of it, his legs just start to buckle under him and he ends up laying down for a few minutes and then he's back up again standing in the same spot. Poor thing. I'm a sucker for my babies... here I am at 2:30 a.m. sitting in the living room so Porter can sleep without the e-collar on. We have to monitor him very closely so he doesn't rub his eye.
This is where the time discussion comes in. I swear it's been 2:30 for the last 3 hours... it feels like 4 a.m. will never come. That's when hubby gets up to go to work. I have the privilage of working from home, so I told him to go get some sleep. But now that I think about it, when he gets up, I'm still not going to get any rest. He'll go in the shower and won't be watching Porter, so I'll have to watch him.... then he's going to go to work...which means I still won't get any sleep. I'm getting the short end of this stick. Did I mention that I'm sick, too? Came down with it on Wednesday... woke up on Thursday morning feeling like crap! Congestion...check, scratchy throat.....check, lethargic......check. This sucks! Who gets sick in August? The people I work with, that's who! Then they come in to work sick and spread the love! UGH! Stay home if you're sick! I hate that!
I have to find some sort of solution for Porter. Maybe I need to see about getting a different cone collar for him. I feel so bad for him, but need my sleep in order to feel better. I have to figure something out. I'm fading fast... It's only 2:39. Goodnight... I hope!

Intro
Welcome and thanks for reading my ramblings!
I guess I better introduce myself. I'm Danielle, my friends and family call me Dani. I'm happily married to my best friend and soul mate, Brian. Not to sound cheesey, but he does complete me. We have two dogs, Bazzle, a miniature Schnauzer and Porter, an English Bulldog. They're my babies! No two legged kids for us yet, but hopefully someday! I have the best family and friends, this includes my in-laws. Hubby and I both work and are always on the go...so let's see how much time I have for blogging! lol
OK, there's the info, a little general I know, but that just means you'll have to read on to learn more!
